Thank you, I get what you mean :P
Oh, so creepy! Love how so much of the scene falls into ominous blackness.
thanks! i think i'll test out voxels. when i was making low-res renders they needed a ton of clean up.
If I'm being honest. I mainly use voxels (MagicaVoxel) for convenience at the moment. I use blender sometimes, but since I'm not too accustomed to it yet it takes a lot longer to create a reference, compared to just plopping voxels down and adding a light source. (Especially for "isometric" looking scenes like this.)
I suppose voxels can be a little more stylistic. But if you are already used to another 3D program, both will work fine ;)
great atmosphere! it's amazing how much you can make from so little
btw. i'm planning to use 3d references for a project and now i'm wondering: are there any benefits of using voxels instead of just rendering a scene in very small - pixelated - resolution (or scaling it down later)?
Creepy huh? To me it is pretty comfortable. Funny how that differs for some people :)
