Thanks. I generally think in terms of shade rather than colour and I always have the 8 x 8 tile grid on in the background. It probably helps that I almost always start with the same canvas size. I'm glad you liked it

Thanks. I had great fun doing my initial sketches in pencil for this character. Unfortunately he is not dressed in historically accurate clothing.

Always amazes me how much detail you manage to pack in small backgrounds and with only 4 colors.
