This is the most powerful book I've ever read in my entire life. This epic novel tells about the life and tragedies of the Cossack Grigory Melekhov during the revolution of 1917 and the Civil War in Russia. But this book is not only about the tragedy of one person, but also of the entire Cossacks and the Russian people of that time. I'm not gonna lie, this novel is very hard and painful morally to read and I've never cried so much because of a book. No fiction has ever caused me so much numbness and sincere feelings at the same time, because you live through all the events of the book together with the characters, all of it feels like you can see dusk and dawn at the same moment. Not everyone can read this book to the end, but if you can read it, you will remember it for the rest of your life. |
Beautiful mood in this scene.
