The shading looks bad and the lines on the hair disturb me.
The main design looks good tho

Yeah, the "abused dithering" is really what I meant when I said bad shading.

And I've lost my reference pic.

What refference did you use?

You also used too many colors for the face...

and the shading on the hairs is poorly done as you mentioned
You also could have added some eyes :0

I think it looks really cool but it has potensial to look alot better, the shading is fine but I think th hair could look alot better. I think you used really nice colors allso, but maybe the bg could be a less extreme color or even transparent maybe.

good job on the piece. but i really think you abused the dithering which makes it look kind of bad.
