Based on this piece by norwegian illustrator Theodor Kittelsen. Näcken (or Nøkken depending on langage) is a scandinavian folklore creature specializing in luring people down into the water to drown them. In Sweden he's mostly known to take the shape of a handsome naked fiddler, but I do enjoy the the more ghostly/monstrous apperance in Kittelsens work.
