III - The Empress: Fruitfulness, action, initiative, length of days; the unknown, clandestine; also difficulty, doubt, ignorance.
Reversed: Light, truth, the unraveling of involved matters, public rejoicings; according to another reading, vacillation.
Inspired by Art Nouveau, silent films, comics and psychedelia. I tried to keep some of the symbolism from the Rider-Waite tarot deck, but it's minimal. The twelve flowers represent the months of the year as well as the growth of the natural world.
Make what you will of the oversized goldfinch–it probably fits with a lot of the possible meanings of the card.

Thanks b236! One of my art resolutions this year is to AA less, but it didn't work out well with this challenge. The thick lines felt like they demanded it.
