Thanks, 8 bit adventurer. I find rain very challenging in pixel art and, in this case, I'm very happy you identified it as distant rain rather than rays of sunlight. :)

I don't know if I've ever seen anyone render distant rain in pixel art. It looks incredible. Really inspirational.

Thanks, Fatman, I appreciate the detailed feedback! It's funny you should say that because I did have an idea for a composition but it wasn't really according to any particular rule. After I was done, I started thinking about whether it fit the typical composition rules and I made this silly gif.

In the end, I'm not entirely sure I've managed to lead the eye properly but it was a useful learning experience. :)

Impressive landscape picture. The layers of background, midground and foregound were distinguished clearly. Obversiouly, the positions of people, of building, of forest were arraged carefully.
