Didn't have much time to work on this, but I'm at least somewhat satisfied with the pose (even though the rest is a mess). Thought about Puss before the Boots, being somewhat of a peasant, without his rapier. What weapon could he have then? Quarterstaff was the answer I came up with, inspired by a martial art of my country. I might revisit this theme later on.

this gives me the same feeling as illustrations in older fantasy books despite the difference in medium. very cool!

I really like the idea and pose - you should definitely return to it. I've still got to watch the new Puss in Boots movie.
