My first attempt at pixel art after a 5-year-break. This is the Higher Self - my interpretation of one of the main antagonists of P-Model and Susumu Hirasawa music, based on Hirasawa's interest in rapid technological progress, especially the Amiga 500 and the Amiga 500 Say. The concept behind the P-Model album that is Hirasawa tries to build his 3D body (2D or not 2D, Wire Self), but fails due to hardware failures and as a result he gets a transcendental evil organism (Error of Universe, Psychoid). Hirasawa is trying to escape from his laboratory from the man-made abomination (LAB=01, No Room). Previosly, this work was very pale and noisy, but CELS helped me to convey the atmosphere and 3D illusion by adding a light source, many many thanks to him!
