Thanks! Yeah I figured with this piece I really wanted to rely mostly on cool colors and just kinda flesh out a portrait, t'was fun to work on! It was also cool to see all the other Gubbdata entries, ya'll are so talented! 

Thanks! Yeah I remember Ptoing saying that white on the C64 can be pretty intense so I figured it'd be cool to lean into that sort of glowy-ness? 

I thought this was a wonderful entry to Gubb! I really like how understated the shading is, which in turn gives more attention to form/surfaces. Quite refreshing, that and your use of the palette, with most grey and blue ramps.

This aesthetic is very nostalgic and appealing to me. The glowing paint / tattoos reminds me of all the glow-in-the-dark toys I had as a boy, which fits perfectly with the colors you've chosen. 

I love everything about this.
