Great portrait, and that palette is definitely very fitting for this.
Thank you, I appreciate your insight and completely agree. I tend to get to backgrounds and give up, just slap in whatever. I'll take this into consideration and see if I can't get things more cohesive over the whole piece.
Always a fan of palletes that manage to mix together so many colours and maintain a sensible transition between them. I especially like how you use a temperature gradient to make more sense of the varied hues both in the face and in the hair. The only aspect I'm not entirely sold on is the relative level of noise in the background as compared to the parts of the skin and ears that are heavily dithered or detailed, as they mix together bit especially on the right. On the left the long clusters of the hair serve as a more defined border. Otherwise lovely piece Morganne!
I desaturated it just ever so slightly from the WIP, so you're probably noticing that, in which case, good eye.
When I saw your WIP earlier, I thougth the yellow tones in the face stuck out a bit weirdly, but in the final result it came out really nice!
Have to agree with everyone else - that palette is great!
such a cool palette! and i love the way you did the hair
What a wonderful portrait and the palette fits it wonderfully!
Absolutely fantastic.
