heHe, well just to be totally clear - it's just American slang for wife. "old man" for husband as well. If you didn't know. Poland probably has some even better slang.

My friend, I read your compliment with pleasure. Even if solidness is never in my intention (and in my abilities), I get what you mean. I like to leave the piece just a few steps before "finished" so the viewer can look behind the curtain to see the process and the shortcomings clearer. Especially when all the viewers are other artists and could point in right directions.

I didn't know. We do indeed and very similar: "moja stara", or "twoja strata" means my old/your old (in female form of the word), which kids use for mother and adults for wife. The kids usage as 'mother' is very common and very neutral use, even if mothers don't like it (kids, if really want to insult someone elses or their own mother, they have much "better" words for it) but the usage as 'wife' is mostly used only in reference to your own wife, not others, and it is very pejorative. Usually used by people who really disrespects or hate their wifes. Interesting how same word used in different context can have different meanings. Antother thing worth mentioning, the male form "twój stary" is also commonly, and neutrally used by kids as father, but usage as husband is unfamiliar to me (if wifes do that, they do it secretly
).
