The surgeon here has done an impressive job, taking not just the skin off the victim/patient's face but the face entirely, including teeth and eyes.
The border adds some visual interest to the corners of the screen while not distracting from the centrepiece. The anatomy of the different eyeballs (from pupil to tearduct and caruncle) is slightly slapdash but in a way that has lots of character; more 'realistically' rendered eyes would make the piece less harmonious. I do feel that the hands, alien as they should be, could stand to be sculpted out a little more cleanly with better shading. I admire the ambition with the gradient on the logo, but I think it muddies how well the logo reads and it gets lost amongst everything else.
