I love this splash screen so much! The font is so good and I love the depth with the background characters in the more muted colors.

@Stickman: Thank you! I'm glad it has a horror feel. I was a little worried that some of the quirkier elements might detract from that, but I think horror is amplified by having contrasts between elements.

I did originally start with some smoke there, but it looked more like he was holding a branch and I didn't have enough time to revise it. I agree that it would give it a little extra something.

@Umbohr: Thank you so much! I based the letter forms on Medieval lettering. I wish I'd had a bit more time to work on the smaller font, especially since I'll need more of it in my nexy entry...

@MIERDISNKY: Thank you! I like quite harsh lighting, which I think contributes to that. I'm actually trying to wean myself off it a bit (not that you can tell in this image).

A magnificent splash screen... it's strange that there are no comments. Although, perhaps, this is precisely the case where words are superfluous.
