The semi-transparency of the dialogue box is clever, but getting the display over the corpse to read as a scanline overlay while maintaining readabilty of the corpse is one of the tightest tightrope acts I've seen on the site. I'm also impressed at the background being able to dither green into blue and purple into brown and using brown for anti-aliasing, all without coming off as a kind of clown world.
Incredible use of the palette, and amazing that you made an isometric game work in such a small space. There are so many details too!

Yeah, I tried to make it appear as something that would actually be playable.
Also fiddling around with some pseudo transparency for the GUI was a bit of a challenge.
I would love to play that game, exactly as is, in that resolution. You have proved that the canvas is not too small for game mockups.
