With what looks like a change in HUD and a boss health bar (and whatever's going on at the bottom of the screen between the player's hands) it seems like there's a change in mechanics at this point of the game. Do Horror/Scare in the last screenshot correlate to the player frightening enemies, or taking sanity damage? Either way it seems a moot point against this boss fight.
The missiles are smartly rendered in different ratios of red to dark red, to separate from the player and what looks like the boss' hands (ditto the use of yellow/orange for the propulsion of the missiles). I think more use of grey would help fill in the role that the green used to play, that it provides a colour standing out from the red and blue ramps while simultaneously harmonising them.
