I grew up on eastern european cartoons and books so it would make sense there's resemblance there. the textures were sort of inspired by backgrounds in PC-98 games and me trying out how close the effect looks with % brushes i had lying around. the character design is real just my first attempt at pixel aardvark, it's a very beloved animal in my family

I'm reminded of a Soviet-era animation or childrens' book. What was your personal inspiration for this piece, and the background texturing and character design?
