Some of the main character's animations and parts of the sewer background made for a beat' em up project

Thanks! I'm especially happy that you mentioned gif sync, because it was quite a pain to do it

Is really not easy to find a good combo, this is original fighting choices and those kicks are very well animated !
Can feel the pain of the hits !
Frame sync looks good for a fun beat em up playing

@Artificer-111

Thank you very much!

One thing about impact I realized while compiling these gifs is that screen shake really adds to it, so it might feel like that not only because of the animation itself, but also because how shaky enviroment is after each hit

@specialmin64

I don't blame myself too  Their legacy is tremendous!

And that's an interesting point about squash/stretch principle you mentioned, I guess I didn't even think about where it can be applied, or maybe I considered smeared nunchaku as a solid object

That's one solid series of kicks, had to look at the squash and stretch on smears too - it looks so smooth in the normal speed version that you hardly notice them. But their impact this felt strongly for sure, very clean work!

well, I don't fault you for referencing capcom fighting game sprites. I feel like everyone and their grandma does it, including big studios (with good reason). The way you squashed the blur is especially interesting to me, because for some reason I assumed the squash/stretch principle should only apply to solid objects. Now I see it can look quite good on non-solid shapes too, like blurs

haha thank you! I'll be honored if you use it as a reference!

tbh this nunchaku whip was quite affected by my attempt to recreate Darkstalkers Jon Talbain nunchaku move

the squash and stretch on the spinning nunchuck smear is a clever little touch. I'll have to steal that one I mean uhh be inspired by it
