I was actually going to make a game like this, but it fell through. (It was a free roaming type game, that's why the ship is off-centered.) Done for a Pixel War.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. @Gnarf+Sohashu : I just put it there so ya'll wouldn't be confused ;) I put the words there so it wouldn't be TOO plain, there isn't much going on in space, ya know it?

Looking good. I have to agree with Gnarf though. The text throws it off IMO. But good job on the shading, and congrats on your win.

The text (shield, health, ships, mini map) isn't necissary. Maybe an image for the ships and nothing for the rest would look nice. Mini map is definitely not needed. The environment looks a bit plain and the ship has a somewhat boring design. Not bad though.
