I also thought it was Batman the first time I looked at it. Might be the yellow markings on the chest? I agree that the animation should be speeded up... or - if you want it to be that slow - add more frames! Good work nontheless.
I quite like it, in my opinion the fizzleing out effect could do with speeding up a tad tho. Looks a bit slow and jumpy on my computer. keep it up tho. I think this has great potential.
