This is the main character sprite from a platform game I concieved a while back in the forums.

I sat on it for a loong time because it was still a work in progress. However, I've decided to upload it because I am doubtful that I'll return to it, and I thought it worth uploading before EVERYONE forgot about it (including me).

Wanted to add:
-Roar
-Chomp
-Licking itself
-Pounce

The name of the game is 'Coliseum.'

I like the comparison to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. That 'lack of weight' can possibly be explained cheaply by saying this character is meant to be an incarnation of the Roman Goddess Juno. But you'd only know that if you read the forum thread.

Thanks for all the comments. I did contemplate removing the tail movement, but I think I like that it draws attention to the peacock side of things.

This is a great piece, as many others have already said. :p But, I have to say that there isn't enough "weight" when his feet hit the ground. It's almost like his feet don't hit the ground when he's running and he's pulling one of those Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon flying fight scene moments. I hope that made sense. But, in anycase, I really love it despite that. <33

Great animation on this, and awesome use of colours.

I think, though, that you have managed to make some white areas transparent by mistake. Like on the paws further away from us, and where the tail connects to the tuft at the end of it. I agree that the tails movement could be a bit smoother, or at least not moving as much. It sort of jumps around and attracts the attention from the rest of the lion.

Great job with this!

The tails movement should be a little smoother.  However, the rest of the animation is ace and the colourings good too.

Flarey, enough for me. :D
Great work, the animation is smooth and looks fantastic.

Awesome animation, love the palette you used.  The only thing that bothers me is the tail, not smooth enough for me.
