I don't see why not, I think as this thing was supposed as a GUI element, such symmetry turned out very favorable

Besides it's still correct from a lighting point of view if we assume the thing is lying on a flat surface and the light is falling 90 degrees from top.

I could not use a directional lightsource for this, jalonso. It was not a personal piece.
