From a casual glance it looks like your picture uses about 16 or 17 colours, and the use of dithering on the legs shows you have a good understanding of pixelart technique with limited colours. But when I ran the picture through the Image Inspector it says there are 40+ colours used, a lot of which seem to be 1-3 pixels of colours that are close to the 'main' palette being used. It doesn't seem to noticeably benefit your picture though.
I'd recommend keeping on top of what colours you work with by setting a palette aside so you can use an eyedropper tool.
