One of two Croc's throw boosts by flame. It increases throw distance and allow th throw enemy to traps etc.
I use in-game graphic sprites, and flame's (while blow up) angle may look bit wrong because throw trajectory isn't fixed yet in game's prototype, so croc's head's or flame's angle may be bit changed in future.

Daaaamn, that croc's got the moves ! also RIP smoking person... that's what you get for acting environmentally unfriendly (that's a bit harsh of a punishement I'll admit). Great animation !

StevenM, no, i don't use so many colors. I work on ipad and in photoshop, and looks like one of bear's idle animations saved uncorrectly with lot of color artefacts while one of transfering between devices.
I have proper colored colored bear's idle, but looks like in some frames i took wrong file while gathering this GIF.

About making of - i use both. Before making next set on moves i draw sort of little scene and draft animations in it. After that i'm making each animation separately and add them one by one to scene. The point is in making not cartoon, but fitted for game animations, and use them for scenes.

You can check out one of scenes wip here:

How do you assemble these .gif files? Do you work on individual animations (croc firing upward, croc idle, bear attack, bear being thrown etc) and then assemble them into one long file, or do you work on them all in the same project file, or do you use a different method?

If you use the site's Image Specs Tool you can see there are nearly 160 colours in this animation, some of those colours barely appear for a few frames. A lot of your previous monster .gif files have large colour counts as well. I don't know if that's because the .gif exporting process is messing with the palette of the monsters and buildings and fire effects, or because you're using a slightly different palette for each animation based on a rough assemblage of colours, and that's adding to the colour count.

Thanks, tecnologgamer. Croc has lot of fire-based moves

Great animation. I like the flame breath.
