It depends on the project, but the main thing I would suggest it to start rough and loose and not rush into detail (rushing into detail is what I would advice to look out for, us artists often want to get to the good part before laying out the base) . Generally, it helps having a somewhat regimented type of approach, that is, working in stages.
This is an amazing polished piece of work. How do you approach a large project like this? Any challenges you would advice someone to look out for?
