With a resolution of 322×668 pixels, consisting of a total of 215.096 pixels and 50 colors in 8-bit, it was executed by me through approximately ~20-22 hours of handwork.
In this piece, I depicted the "Operation Atilla" (1974 Cyprus Peace Operation). Depicting it aesthetically like a war game added a unique and pleasant touch. A tribute to art and history enthusiasts..!
The tank carried by the "CH-47 Chinook" helicopter is an "M-48 Patton," during the operation, "M-47" and "M-48 Patton" tanks were efficiently utilized on the attack lines. The helicopters on the right side providing air support are "Bell UH-1s," and in the bottom right corner, the jet I drew separately, labeled as "North American F-100 Super Sabre," earned the nickname "Baba" (Father) from the people due to its success in the operation.
Note: I am aware that the "CH-47 Chinook" helicopter couldn't carry a "M-48" tank with an empty weight of even 45-50 tons. The empty weight of the helicopter is around 11-13 tons, and its safe max load capacity is also around 11-13 tons. "Lockheed C-130 Hercules", which entered the Turkish Air Force inventory in 1964, and "Transall C-160", which entered in 1971, were used during the operation. However, these planes wouldn't be able to accommodate "M-47" or "M-48" tanks. Additionally, due to the planes' safe maximum load capacity of around 20 tons on average, the balance, aerodynamics, and safety concerns such as turbulence, tanks couldn't be carried at high altitudes. Hence, I attempted to convey the sense of action in the environment using a helicopter instead of drawing these planes. Tanks were likely transported to the island by ships during the operation.
