Thanks! Jumping control is the number one thing we're working on enhancing for the real game. I was trying to keep it oldschool, like with NES/Castlevania-style jumping (i.e. no control in the air), but lots of people have asked for more control, so we're already working on that.
My friend Patrick is coding the whole game in Flash. I'm designing all the artwork in Photoshop and making animated gifs of all the monsters' actions in ImageReady, and then I just e-mail everything to Patrick and he does the rest, with both of us exchanging hundreds of e-mails with our ideas about movement, speed, gameplay, etc.
I am speechless ... This is excellent. I really like the atmosphere of the game. I do agree with Imagician's C&C.
Your style fits perfectly with the game.
This is wonderful. I still see that the demo is up and live, but I wonder what happened to the completed project? I think this would make an excellent XBLA Indie title or even a digital release on Steam or a freeware Indie Developer contest entry. Going to try the demo as soon as I get a free moment. Excellent work all around.
