Pixelween 2023, Week 3 - Terror from the Skies

War. Pestilence. Famine. Humanity has survived a lot, but has it ever endured complete annihilation?

Brad Chinperson pondered this while looking out at the devistation below. "We've got to fight back, but how?" he muttered. He'd been stranded for days, walking around in the middle of nowhere looking for someone, anyone, left alive in all this. Luckily for him, he ran into a woman this morning while out scavenging; another person, finally! Unluckily, the woman seemed to hate his guts.

Brad sighed a heavy sigh. He can't do this alone.

"Hey, shitbag!" Jenny Saint-Clair called out from behind him. "You gonna mope around on my roof all day or what?" Brad turned to face her. She threw up a ladder. "C'mon. We've got a world to save."

"I thought you hated my guts?"

"I do. But I can't hate you if we're dead."
