i didnt know this was put on pj! i thought this was the best piece out of your c64 dump at pixelation.
i would LOVE to see the video.
Ahh, another c64 piece. My God man, you must bleed c64 colors...
First and foremost, let me just say that I love creepy scenes with large amounts of black making up the piece (I guess, it's more of a Chiarroscurro fetish I suppose). This piece is great in that aspect, though I wouldn't go so far as to say that its actually using Chiarroscurro( can't remember if it's one word or two...). The detail on the face is great, and so is the technical execution of the color placement, which is nothing new from you.(...I hate you...)
My only issues are:
A) the shadow on the moon looks as if it is bieng eclipsed rather than a normal shadow,(i.e. the moon seems to shine more from the lower portion than the sides... ) and
B) the brightest colors you used to designate his eyes seems to be mixing in with the shinieness bieng reflected off his nose.(his right eye to be exact)...Also, I was wondering why his upper lip is of a brighter shade than his lower lip, seeing as how the upper lip curves downward, so the bright eyes couldn't be creating it's strange light source.( unknown lightsource I suppose?)
Other than that, amazing execution, detail of the face, and choice of color. I'm not trying to be a prick, I'm just trying to treat every one the same and crit as much as I can. The real downside of this piece was trying to find its flaws, seeing as how I know nothing of c64...Great effin' job though...
@Gnarf; The chin is not off centre! The chin is perfect right where it is...
Ugh, killer piece, nothing to say. I LOVE the trees in the background, & the hat is neat.
Just so awesome! How you fit so much texture in with such a crazy palette really makes for a great combo. The chin seems a bit off center, but that's all I can see. Awesome work as always.
something about fields of the nephilem always puts a big old smile on my face, porbabably the sillyness of english goth boys making ennio morricone styled music. they where a pretty cool band though. and this is an awesome tribute to the album cover
