Everybody asks me that, but the answer is No, not at all. Last time I wantched it was like, 2003, and I only made my video in pixels 'cause I knew not a lot of people do it and that might give me advantage in the contest (it did :)).
It's no wonder tho, Junior Senior's vid must be the best pixelart video ever (especially since there are not too many around), so people instantly bring it up as sort of benchmark, if that makes sense :).
Thanks man! It's amazing how months passed since I made it and people still remember it, even a couple new people telling me they like it now and then..
By the way, I haven't posted in a while.. I'm working on some pixel stuff.. Both in mobile games and a little interesting project..
So soon I'll have something to show off at PJ, both pics and videos :D. You heard it first.
I would also like to comment again, to say congratulations on the contest win!!
Really cool dude, i downloaded the video and it was awesome. made me laugh also :P
Thanks, yeah I dunno where I got that from consistently for two weeks.
I guess the fact that I had a strict deadline helped, cuz when working on my own game for instance I do tend to lack off yknow.
Thank you man!
As far as I understand, the entries are not public, at least not until the contest ends, so its hard to say anything bout my chances :D I'm sure I'll have some tough competition tho. We'll see, I'm just crossing my fingers now :D
Tell me the truth, did you visit the DivX site I linked to :)?
I believe that should work for ya
Thanks man :D I was fully aware of the Junior Senior video, I kept in mind NOT to make mine a clone of that :D, luckily my style of pixeling (and probably animation too) is different enough :) I also think they used slightly bigger res.
Of course their vid is so much more professional tho, I believe it was done by more than one guy :D
My other fave pixel music vid is Rock N Roll Highschool by Teddybears STHLM, but their video was strictly video game style, so I didn't bother :)
Sorry, it's me being a retard haha I've edited the piece already.. Jeez I need some rest :D
It's encoded with DivX 6, you can get it here www.divx.com
Hope you'll like it.
Yeah probably, you know to tell the truth, two weeks was hell of a short time, and some more cool ideas went unrealized.
I know there are a lot of imperfections here and there, but I didn't quite have the time to make it perfect like that. I just hope it's fun enough t compensate for those flaws :D
Personally I'm still a bit dizzy from the process and I really can't watch that video myself anymore, probably for a real long time :D
that's all you had to say?.. I know I can edit... Man please...
And why in the hell would I upload it to YouTube in shitty quality, when I can host it myself, on my own portfolio? I ain't catching your drift. The only benefit from youtube is that you theoretically get lots of hype, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.
