Words fall short of describing what you've created. I can only look in awe.
Really admire how much mystery and atmosphere you manage to inject into your pieces about goddamn Pokemon!! Really takes me back to how those games and movies felt to me as a kid. Gorgeous stuff!
this is mental, definitely one of the coolest pieces i've seen in months and one ill remember for much longer. amazing details literally everywhere that check all the boxes on what makes an artwork excellent. You could have posted a cropped 100x100 section of basically anywhere from here and it would still be incredible, no part feels rushed or left behind.
Thank you, especially for the time and care you put into exploring the piece! :'P
I guess it can be... a bit much on the eye? But I am so happy to hear it reeled you in, somehow! Regigigas is referenced there on that specific little statue and... on a larger scale, with the big place (I put the arched windows in the same pattern as its dots, and the buttresses and pillars around imitate the patterns on its arms!) Also, the big arched rock that goes into the sea is meant as a quote of its arm as well... I mean... a pokemon that "moves continents"... :P
One of the best pixel art pieces I've seen. Amazing and clever use of the palette, great textures and atmosphere across all the canvas. Even the tiny character sprites have loads of charm. Absolutely breath taking!
This is one of the coolest things ive seen in months
Dude... this is AMAZING. The colors, the size, the amount of hidden Pokemons, the Unown alphabet, oh my. I've spent like an hour watching this piece.
PD: I didn't found Regigigas ¿Is a small statue on the top left side of the map?
unreal level of patience and skill. the way u render the path textures is very unique and cool
Thank you Mirre! Hehe, it's quite full of stuff, yeah! Regarding palette, it's the original pokemon GSC one (black, greens, browns and blues), but I added two colors on the general tilesets and a few more colors for the sprites! Yeah I noticed I used a few more colors than inteded for trainer and pokemon sprites around, so I lost count of colors at a certain point, but I was aiming at 16 for the background (I think it's 18 now!) and 8 more for sprites. :'P
Thank you for noticing, corrected it on the post! :'>
The sheer scale, consistency in both dithering and style, and the colour palette makes this an instant favourite. Awesome stuff!
Also, I really love your tiles. ;)
This is so epic! I love all the attention to detail, and this piece is MASSIVE. There are so many fun little stories going on everywhere and I enjoyed searching for Pokémon, espcially all the Unown. The level of detail here is seriously impressive. And really great palette too! (PS. It's 29 colours, not 24) Insanely awesome piece, and instant favourite!
Yes indeed! Every Unown is there. Some of them are easier to spot than others, and there's also a very S-pecial one that is more difficult to see. Tehehe. Q is a pesky one as well.
In case you want to delve into the research more, you may also find seven shiny pokemon... maybe an eighth one!
Hold on... Did you hide the ENTIRE Unown alphabet in here?
EDIT: YOU DID! I spent unreasonably long not being able to find the Q
I keep scrolling and there's still more wtf! Monumental
Great art!
