Thank you for your kind words, but I do have to be honest. The character designs are not mine and neither is the palette. It is slightly modified Shovel Knight palette. I was requested to use it, and it was a very educative experience, because it is far outside of my preference. While I do love to use a lot of colour and contrast, such high saturation burns my eyes. 
While it may be old, I like what's going on. The colorful characters and art style is in my alley. 
@gawrone - You're welcome. I always like experimenting with different palletes. Sometimes, certain ideas don't go along with certain colors. So, I understand in that regard. But, I get it - the colors are a bit intense. lol
