I was bored today, and I happened to notice the Pixelween competition just a happenin' at the moment. I noticed that I never participate much in pixel oriented competitions, so I decided to submit something for a change. My submission is the aliens from War of The Worlds (WoTW) v.s the Klowns from Killer Klowns from Outer Space (KKfOS). I wanted to be original with my piece, and what better way to do it, than send in my most favorite, cult-horror film of all time, KKfOS. I got the idea when searching for pics of the C' flick on the net. I happened to come upon one poster ad, and I noticed it beared a resemblence to the War of the Worlds poster, and I combined the two for the piece. Here are the posters for reference: War of the Worlds: [Link] Killer Klowns from Outer Space: [Link] By the by, yes, I do know that it has a crapload of colors, and you know what? I just don't give a damn....After only pixeling this sucker for about 6 hours, I actually had fun with it. Good luck to every one! *Edit, 10/21/06* Lowered the color count from 39, to 31....cuz, consuming too much pixels can be bad for the body!

Amazing execution, B.O.B! Seriously, this is beautiful pixel work.

When I first saw your piece I thought it was an amazingly creative depiction of two “villains” coming together – very clever. However, I did not expect the reference to be essentially the same thing. I must admit that I am a little disappointed that your image is just a combination of two movie posters.

@Gas 13: I was about to say "I feel your pain," but 50 colors? Man, you poor bastard! I only had 39 colors. I could just imagine the time and pain you suffered finding those pixels...either way, the pain you suffered wasn't for none, since I think yours is possibly the best at the moment.

@Gas 13 and Imagician:..whoops, I never noticed the 32 max colors rule. Let me fix that real quick (takes 15 min. out his useless life to find stray and unwanted pixels) There we go. WoTW vs. KKfOS, now with 8 less pixels!( now 31 in total to be exact...)

Looks really nice. I like the fact you didn't choose full black for space. Sorry for splitting hairs, but the rules say 32 colors max, so either you give a damn or not, I guess that's possibly a problem

Great idea with this one and nice colors. Really something different from what was submitted so far.

It would be fair to drop several colors to fit rules restrictions.
