This is the most wonderful gift I could dream for myself. It has everything I love and painted so beautifully. The rat wizard wanderer is so cute but also adventurous. The colours are so nice and optimistic, and I love the scheme with such juicy RGB. Almost like a still form a Ghibli movie.
As so happens, one of my beloved rat friends passed away yesterday, and this gift is also special for me in a very close and personal way. I could interprete this painting as him on a journey into a rat-heaven, looking back to me for the last time and saying farewell. Goodbye, my friend!

I love the chunky clusters all over the landscape. It's impressionistic but also everything is really well rendered. The character is just the most adorable thing too. The pose is brilliant and conveys so much story and emotion.
