Edit: Upscaled it 2x because I didn't think the original (in the preview) really fit the weekly challenge. Still don't think the blending is working but at least the mixels were fun.
Thanks! I've been thinking about how variations in the level of detail could be used to highlight parts of an image lately, though doing it with mixels would be a very literal take on that.
