This is my first challenge I'm partaking in, and I had a lot of fun with the restrictive palette. It reminded me a good bit of Hylics (Steam) world and palette, and I recenty consumed a lot of content related to the Baroque game series (PS1, Sega Saturn) so I was influenced there too.
I imagine this as a key item, similar to the amulet from Void Stranger (Steam) where it's true purpose doesn't become clear until much later into the game. I tried my best to get a nice sheen around the clear disc housing the thick clay strands, but only having one shade of available transparency was challenging. I'd welcome any tips on the sheen animation especially as animation is something I want to work on.
I thought it was serviceable enough though. :) |
