Thank you for your compliments. It seems that the least I plan the design the better the result is.
Amazing work, amazing use of light, amazing composition, amazing everything.
What a piece <3
You're probably right.
I've had a trouble with creating reference to work with, and during most of the process that specific highlight wasn't there, but I've made an assumption that it will contribute to the readability and that there are probably some rays passing between fingers, or reflecting, so I've added it.
I would probobly remove highlight on thumb otherwise looks perfect on my screen
Thanks. I feel more relaxed when I don't have to worry about the topic, and brain figures out the rest along the way. It's probably all comfort zone, but it's still ok.
My approach probably originates from digital art painting I was doing shortly before discovering pixel art.
I think it's all trade off at the end. I feel that I can flush out rough sketch quite fast, but it takes more time to properly clear all that out, compared to doing rendering with better control once lineart is figured out.
nice one dude! Fairly clever concept considering the organic process described. You're right that our procedures look pretty different... I probably fuss over lines so much because I hate modifying textures and gradients! I always try to get all the rendering done in one go. The way you work seems more versatile
Thanks.
