this book is mostly popular in Russia, it was surprising for me to know that there is English translation of this novel! I'd say this book is very... peculiar. Weird mix of Buddhism, Civil war in Russia and russian life in 90s, typical postmodern literature, but I find it very unique and even uplifting in some way
