I got inspired to make a nasty looking pumpkin. :P I call him Messy-Kin since he's so ugly looking... hopefully just in the intended way... >.> I wanted him to look a bit rotten, and pimply.
Someone (I think it was Bob Jones) said that I should add a Background to big sprites, so I sorta did with that grassy ground. (Idealy, it could have been a pumpkin patch, but I wasn't that inspired. :P)
I experimented with a lot of different dithering techniques, and I tried to mess around a bit with some purple shadows. He's also just 15 colors, including transparency.
Overall, I'm really pleased with the outcome.
Any C+C is welcomed, but to be honest, I'm not sure I'll change anyhting. However, I probably will apply it to another piece, like I did with this one and past crits.
EDIT: I had noticed the pumkin's base didn't match up with the ground, so I fixed it. |
