It's hard to make movement with just moving pixeles, it looks like you tried to make it seem that there's reflection not that the crow is moving it's head, but i really like the blinking movement :D 

That makes sense-instead of moving highlights you could try rotating the head as if it were nodding slight as it blinks and lowered the time between frames or something like that. It does have a sense of movement as it is, but more like all its skin is moving when it blinks (Not to say any of it is bad, tho.)

I think I was trying to convey some...movement?  That and this had a background once upon a time, but I liked it better with the transparency.

The blink looks nice and it's smooth too! A little confused by why it's head is sparkling when it blinks-otherwise great work!
