This is an example how many different looking colors you can get with optical blending by mixing only 4 CGA colors. There isn't all the different mixes, but i didn't have enought patience to put them all to that picture. You can zoom it if you want, there really is only 4 different color. Believe it or not.

Interesting. 2 things: First: You should order them more accordingly (like grouping them to create gradients of one color each), and second: The preview picture is absolutely stupid (sorry). How can you resize a dithered piece like that? Looks horrible. You could have just reduced the dimensions of each square or alternatively use a palette with a higher color count to resample the image bicubically.
