One way to do this would be:

 
Find colours that are very similar so the differences between them doesn't matter at all. Especially when they are on separate sprites. Then choose one of them which works best in all situations and replace them all with this one only. Start with the "black" equivalent. You have many colours that function as "black". You could have just one for every sprite.The next category I would focus on would be greyish blues. You have dozens of them and you need only few. Also there is no need for so many yellows. You have many blonde hair characters. They can all use the same two or three yellow colours for that. And so on, and so on. If you do some significant reduction at least to around 500 colours you would learn a lot about colour recycling, and become much more aware colour manager for the future :)

I 100% agree with Trigonomicon, but I will accept this piece using a loophole of a compilation of different characters, where each of them has their own palette, but all are connected by a style, not by the palette. It gets average 32 colours per character.

However, please remember that colour palette management is one of the quality markers in this gallery, and you should keep it as minimal as possible even when you do a compilation like this (you should try to recycle as many colours as you can, and unify very similar colours). If this would be a singular piece with over 800 colours, it would be deleted from the queue instantly.

You have a lot of redundant colors in this piece, and most of them are also slightly semi-transparent for some reason. It will have to be cleaned up a little before we can accept it into the gallery.
