Secret Santa gift for orangemagik!

I tried to recreate the 4-dimensional ring encounter scene from Death's End by Liu Cixin (hijacked the "hard scifi" prompt to draw something from MY favorite hard scifi novel instead >:D )

The copper ringy thingy is supposed to be a Hopf fibration. I modeled it in Blender, illuminated it, took an extreme FOV shot and rendered it by hand along with the rest of the scene.
