Alright, I reached Level 2 so I can finally reply to your kind comment! Thank you so much for the tip. Since I'm already used to drawing illustrations, I'd definitely say simplifying the colors is probably my weak suit - As well as taking in references, should have looked at some rainy pixel scenes.
Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome, and happy pixeling! And very cool art you've created, I love the Orc and the simplicity of it, even if it's a bit older already.
This is a really nice scene! I think the lighting is good and you've captured the look everything has on a wet, overcast day. I like the fact that the house is viewed from an angle. The piece has a lot of character!
You could cut out a lot of the colours (it looks like there's a transparency effect on the rain which is contributing to the high number) but that's more of a technical complaint.

It makes sense that you draw; I think this piece has a painterly quality that is quite different to the more game-inspired pieces a lot of people make.
