Sumo Jungle Grandeur by Soichi Terada [FER-06872], released 1996.
Soichi Terada is known for his Japanese house albums on his Far East Recording label, as well as making the soundtracks for various Ape Escape games (and the Japanese version of Fantavision!). This album is a pleasant mixture of enka and jungle, or as he described in his Toco Toco 2017 interview "[...] I was using mostly Japanese music, sumo sounds, or voices of buddhist monks, and all kinds of sounds I liked. It was as if making a sandwich of uncommon ingredients. It tasted good to me, so I wanted other people to take a bite as well, this was the feeling I had at the time." He is also known as Omodaka for his chiptune enka projects.
My favorite songs from the album:
-Yokozuna Beach Chillin'
-Sumotorishu Ga Coming
-Shiko Stepper Rumblin' (I'M SLIDING OVER CARS WHILE I SHOOT!!)
-Grand Senshuuraku
I decided to make this one first because it seemed simple and clean enough
Took me around half an hour.
