If you are a hunter of great but unknown bands, this will be a treat for you. In the early 90's, the most revolutionary and alternative period in music, Poland also had a lot to say.
I choose Illusion as the best one. Unfortunately, because most of the lyrics were written in Polish (and the English ones had some lovely grammar issues and a strong accent), it did not become internationally famous, like Vader in trash/death. And what a pity.
This is a very innovative mixture of hardcore crossover, grunge, and groove metal. The riffage can make you do the guitar face involuntarily. They were making "stop and go" riffs before Fear Factory's Replica went viral, and they even got rap vocals added to one song long before the term nu-metal was created, and associated with jumpsuits. The rhythm section is tight like a magnetic cassette hole, but the vocalist's flexibility is the most impressive. He can clean sing a cosy ballad. He can do the nasal grunge voice (it has some cringe connotations today, but in 1994 it was the coolest thing ever). He can do the HC screams and even death-ish growls. And he writes poetry with a message against hate and violence, which will remain a mystery to most.
