You know when you start one of those pieces, and a while in, realise you've bitten off a bit more than you can chew :)

Well I've kinda run out of steam on this, so thought i'd post up what i'd done so far. Hopefully I'll get back to it and finish the damn thing at some point ;)

Here's a link to what i've done so far, overlaid on my original sketch</a>, that should give you an idea of where i'm going with it.

The line-art is good, but Too many dithering, try make any texture of metal effect, or add a little details how buttons to remove part of the dithering.

Very nice mechanically sound and artistically pleasing linework.  The shading could use more contrast and could look more like metal (needs more speculars and sharp blacks).
