i made this to own tomster 785 in a pixel battle, i was also trying to make something that would be accepted in the public queue and get in the weekly showcase, its a mushroom from maple story with a pot on its head, there are 2 colored versions, could u tell me which one to use in battle

I'd say second one but tone down the two brightest colours, and what are these Pixel Battles you're talking about? Is it a forum thing or something you randomly do on PM/IM?

Well done. Use the skills you learnt here in your new works!
And personally i think a palette between the two would work best. The second is too bright in my opinion, the first too dull.

I agree. I was watching this develop from the pixelation forum as well, and noticed the improvement. See what happens when you take criticism to heart. Although some of the shades look a wee bit chunky, and unrefined( like the outter edges of the shroom),it looks loads better than the original, in my opinion. Great improvement. Can't wait to see you develop more!....

Also I really like the style on this one, and you really came a long way from what there was in your gallery, hope you keep this up :)!

I would personally go for the second one (to the right). Although the first ones colours blend and sit much nicer with the pot, the second one is much more bright and punchy. It has the look of being lit by a very bright sun, so it all depend on what mood you would like to portray.
