Once a slave boy, victim of the whip and torture that tore off his leg to prevent him from using the martial art capoeira to defend himself. His soul, forged in pain, ascended to the wind, becoming Saci, an avenger who blends indigenous and African wisdom against injustice and disrupts the lives of wrongdoers around 1770. His name comes from the Tupi-Guarani language (Yaci-yaterê) and appears in the book titled "O Sacy" (1921) by Brazilian author Monteiro Lobato (1882-1948).

Posting my entry for Pixelween Week 1:An Unexpected Guest

My intention was to balance blending darkness with light (which in itself was a study that took me out of my comfort zone) and representing Brazilian folklore (with a hint of Gollum)..

Thank you so much for @gawrone and @35au1 your support and valuable feedback! I'm not sure if I've achieved a good understanding of all the tips, but I promise not to overdo or overthink the process haha

Thank you so much for the share your impresions, Tom!
I'm learning a lot here in this 1st month trying translate better my know-how of high res illustrator for pixels.

In you Bio you mentioned this book Interactions of Color by Josef Albers, interesting,I wasn't familiar with it. In Brasil, the Color and Light of James Gurney is more popular. Now I want take a look it this Interactions  also haha⭐

This has a very nice impressionistic, painterly quality. I really like the lighting and the way you've used the grey/browns is tricking my brain into thinking there are several extra colours in here! Really interesting to see Brazilian folklore represented too.
