Older piece, Sword Fish II, Spike's ship from Cowboy Bebop (Anime).
The only thing I hate about this piece is the tail engine, I couldn't do the roundness right. And this is as good as I could get it. But i'm still happy with the picture overall.

Saturation and contrast aren't the same thing. Adding contrast would mean making your darks darker and using brighther highlights. You would likely even be using less saturation if you did this. If you want to go for a more subdued, "flat" look, you use less contrast. Higher contrast works to make the image "jump out of the page" to a greater degree. It is, as always, your choice. Experiment with it at least (I was always surprised at first by how much I was able to improve my pieces by adding contrast) and consider it for future projects.
AA probably would make it look better, but i've never been good at it. Contrast, possibly. I guess I just like the unsaturated colors more than bright standoutish colors
